Professor William Walsh (Bill) is the Professor and head of department of the Surgical and Orthopaedic Research Lab (SORL), UNSW, Sydney. He obtained his PhD from the University of Medicine & Dentistry and Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA.

His research interests encompass the interfaces between biology, biomechanics, biomaterials and surgery aimed at improving clinical outcomes.
