Dr Michael Selby

Dr Mike Selby is a Spinal and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a strong interest in complex spinal surgery, spinal deformity surgery, spinal trauma and minimally invasive spinal surgery.

He supervises 3 Clinical and Research Fellows through the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Adelaide Spine and Brain.

Current research focuses on:

  1. Rotational correction in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis
  2. A randomized controlled trial of minimally invasive v open surgery for thoracolumbar fractures 
  3. Long term Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) follow-up in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis
  4. Oblique lumbro-sacral take off in congenital scoliosis
